Some Things To Look For In A Reputable Contractor:

  • Are they licensed? Making sure the general contractor you choose is licensed is the first step in making sure you are working with a reputable business. If they can’t be bothered to get licensed, how sure are you that they will be concerned with the detail required on your project? 
  • Is your contractor insured? This is important! We are all human, and we can’t control everything. If something goes wrong and your contractor is not insured – things that might have been covered by a properly licensed contractor, might be coming out of your pocket! 
  • Is your contractor experienced? How long has your contractor been practicing their craft? That experience (or lack thereof) can have a big impact on your project’s final outcome. 
  • Reviews or referrals. Ask your contractor if they have any client testimonials or reviews you can look at. An experienced contractor with a long track record will definitely have some customers that will have something to say about a good contractor.
